Célestin, age 41, is married to a merchant named Odette. The couple has thirteen children to support, out of which some attend school. In addition, they have two other children to support. The couple covers the various family expenses together.
Célestin never attended school. To provide for himself and his family, he's been growing cereals for about thirty years. He sells his crops in his region.

Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de mieux satisfaire sa clientèle, Célestin sollicite un cinquième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Son ambition est d’accroître le niveau de son activité. Les quatre premiers crédits reçus antérieurement par Célestin ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
