A loan of $2,300 helped to build an extension to his wife's shop and buy supplies.

Tsogt-Erdene's story

Tsogt-Erdene is 55 years old and lives with his wife in a ger (a Mongolian yurt) in the Huvsgul province of Mongolia. His wife runs a grocery shop business, and his two children are employed and live independently.

Tsogt-Erdene started his auto repair business in 2000 in his own garage. His business is fairly profitable. However, now that he's older, he wishes to expand his wife's grocery shop and work there. He is a sharp and hardworking man who says, "I am getting old, and I am beginning to lose my skills and powers as a repairman. I need to do something less physical." He is requesting 3,000,000 MNT to build an extension to the shop and buy supplies.
