Nadim is a 49-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three school-aged children. In 2008, he opened a small farm from which he raises cattle and sells dairy products. In addition, he has been working as a nurse for the past six years on a free-lance basis. As for his wife, she has twenty one years of experience and works in a local university.
Today, Nadim is requesting to borrow $ 2100 from kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase a cow for his farm. This loan will help to enhance his productivity, therefore, his sales and his revenues. In the future, he plans to raise more cattle.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
