Dalal is a 40-year-old Lebanese married women living with her husband and two children, who are still attending school. She cooperates with her husband, who has been working in the Lebanese army for the past 20 years.
Due to the increased demand for charcoal, she decided to open her own shop in 2010. She’s really happy to have a good number of customers so far.
Today she’s asking to borrow $1,900 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional charcoal for her shop in order to meet the big demand for this product in the Lebanese market.
In the future, she plans to deliver charcoal to the neighboring villages.
