Abdel Rahman is a 34-year-old Lebanese man. He’s divorced, living with his only school-aged son and parents.
Since he is the main income provider for his family, he started to work as a security in a local hotel in 2009 in addition to his job as a delivery man in one of the local restaurants for the past three years.
Today, he decided to borrow $2,600 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to pay his son’s educational fees until graduation. He’s devoting his life to his son and looking forward to offering him a respectable life.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
