Naziran Bibi's Group
Naziran is very talented lady. She operates two businesses: one is grocery shop and another sells clothes. Both of her businesses are home-based. She has good client base in her community and earns a good income every month. Together with her husband, she uses her income to manage household expenses.
Her husband is also very talented businessman, operating a business selling clothes. He buys variety of clothes from different places and sells them to his clients. The quality and variety of his clothes attracts many customers which allows him to generate a good revenue. He has extensive experience in his work.
Naziran is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. He will use this loan to purchase clothes in bulk. The clothes will be varied, which will allow him to sell more and generate a good profit.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
