Fifteen women from the city of Itá have gotten together to help their families by working together. They’re in their ninth cycle within the foundation’s entrepreneurial women’s program.

Lorenza is one of the members. She sews and, thanks to this work, is able to provide her family with what they need so that they do not lack any of the essentials. She says that she always has plenty of work, so she has a good income.

She is asking for this loan in order to buy fabric, buttons, zippers, and other sewing supplies.

En la ciudad de Itá, 15 mujeres se unieron con el propósito de ayudar a sus familias por medio del trabajo en conjunto de todas ellas. Se encuentran actualmente dentro del noveno ciclo del programa de mujeres emprendedoras de la fundación.
Una de las miembros es la señora Lorenza, quien se dedica a la costura, trabajo gracias al cual puede ayudar a su familia y darles lo minino para que no tengan que pasar por ningún tipo de necesidades. Ella comenta que siempre tiene mucho trabajo, por lo que tiene buenos ingresos.
Ella solicita el crédito para la compra de telas, botones, cierres y demás insumos necesarios para la confección.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
