Yelena is married with two children. She and her family live in Melitopol. Yelena sells household items and hats in the central city market. She is very serious and determined. Her great entrepreneurial skills and commitment to her business have helped her keep her sales high and costs low. The ability to give her customers what they want – such as high quality merchandise at reasonable prices – has helped Yelena keep loyal customers who come back over and over again. She has been in this business now for twelve years and currently has about $3,000 in inventory. Her working capital is about $2000 and her monthly profit is around $450.
Yelena is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase more inventory. She is hoping to invest the money she receives into further business growth. We believe her passion for business, enthusiasm in customer service and marketing skills, together with financial assistance, will help Yelena expand her trade and develop a strong, competitive business.
