Le couple a trois enfants tous scolarisés et à leur charge. En plus de leurs enfants, le couple a trois autres enfants en charge. Les enfants vivent ensemble avec leurs parents. Le couple assure ensemble les diverses charges de la maison. Pour subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses enfants, Pierrette Akouavi vend depuis vingt ans de divers articles et des céréales (maïs, riz, haricot et farine de manioc). Grâce au revenu que lui génère cette activité, Pierrette Akouavi contribue aux différentes dépenses de sa famille. Pour satisfaire aux besoins de sa clientèle de plus en plus grandissante, Pierrette Akouavi sollicite pour une quatrième fois un crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les crédits reçus antérieurement par Pierrette Akouavi ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
