Nohad is an undergraduate Lebanese woman. She’s 25 years old, single, and living with her parents and two siblings. Her father is their main source of income and they all depend on him. She has been giving private lessons from her home for the past six years.
Today, she’s asking for a loan of $800 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to pay her educational fees in order to graduate and pursue her Master’s degree. She notes that this may enhance her way of teaching and help her attract more students.
In the future, she plans to open her own learning center and hire well educated people to work for her.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
