Mrs. Khvay is 51 years old and a mother of 2 children. She lives in Baray district where she earns a living through fish selling business. She is a widowed woman and a hardworking mother. Both of her children are now working and one of them is already married. Mrs. Khvay is going to prepare a wedding party for her son in the next month, so she really needs these funds to spend on this party. She is very happy and thankful to all Kiva’s lenders who kindly help her when she is in need.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
