AbdE. Rahman is a 48-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife, three school aged children and one working child. He’s their main source of income and they all depend on him. He’s also paying his children’s educational fees.
AbdE. Rahman started his metal shop business eleven years ago after twenty five years experience. Today, he’s asking for a loan of $1500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new metal equipment for his business, in order to collect higher income and improve his life. In the future, he plans to expand his business and open new branches.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
