Saumu
Saumu has been selling water to her neighbors in the Coastal town of Changamwe, Kenya for five years. The increase in population around where she stays has caused a high demand for water. She is married and has five children; three are in school. She also sells cooked food to her neighbors.
Saumu is therefore applying for a loan of Ksh 100,000 to buy more tanks and install pipes. Her main challenge in life has been the lack of capital, but she is proud of her association with Milango because she can now access credit to carry out business.
Her aim is to build a restaurant in future as she believes this will help improve the living standard of her family while also enabling her to educate those in school.
