Mrs. Siv T., (her husband is pictured) 24, is married with two small children, and works on her plot of farmland growing lettuce, beans, tomatoes and other vegetables. She can usually earn about $10 each day selling her produce to a nearby market. Her husband has two years of experience as a construction foreman and typically makes an average of $3 each day. Mrs. Siv T. is requesting the loan to purchase more seeds and fertilizer for her family’s farm; any remaining money will be used for home repairs.
