Vazha is from the village Vashlovani, East Georgia. He is 50 years old and lives with his family: his wife, Makvala, and 22-year-old son. All the family members are involved in agriculture. They have 2 milk cows and produce cheese which is sold in Tbilisi (the capital city of the country). Along with the dairy farm, Vazha trades calves. He purchases calves, raises them and then sells them at a higher price. The total average monthly income of the family is 800 Laris. Vazha requested credit to purchase additional calves. He will sell them in spring. It will bring additional income to the family which will be used to further expand the family’s dairy farm.
