Patrick
Patrick is 46 years old and lives in the town of Buwenge in the Jinja region of Uganda. He is married and has 4 children who are all currently in school. For the past 12 years, Patrick has been working hard to manage his small business, which sells timber and makes furniture.

To help expand his business, Patrick has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more timber for resale, and will help Patrick to generate greater profits and pay school fees for children. Patrick hopes that in the future he will be able to buy an electrical machine for the timber.

Patrick is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Patrick who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
