Cremilde
Cremilde was born in the Inhambane Province in southern Mozambique. She is single and has one son who is still a baby. She attended high school but did not finish because her parents did not have the financial resources. She owns the home where she lives with her family and she doesn't support anyone else.

Cremilde left Inhambane for the Boane district to look for work. She has been a receptionist for more than 5 years at Ara Sul, and she has a monthly salary of 5.037.00mt which she uses for household expenses and savings in her bank account (BIM).

She has never had a loan with other banks. She learned about Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client. This is her first loan with Hluvuku, in the amount of 24.000.00mt, which she plans to use to purchase materials to continue construction on her home (beams, metal panels, stones, etc.).

She promises to make her payments on schedule. In the future, she plans to complete construction and furnish her home, and she will request additional loans from Hluvuku for that purpose.

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
