Sopheak, 47, is married and lives in a rural area of Ponhea Krek district. She has 4 children and all of them are still in school. Presently, she is a farmer and she also plants cassava to raise additional income for her family. She has been in this business for 17 years. Her husband works as a construction worker to additionally generate income.
Sopheak has been with VisionFund since 2009. The loans from VisionFund help her to feed her children and send her children to school regularly. She completely repaid the loans with VisionFund. She is now requesting for a third loan with VisionFund. She will use this loan to buy a plot of plantation land to grow more cassava. This loan will enable her to grow more cassava and she hopes to earn more income to better feed her family and also keep her children in school.
