Safia Bibi's Group
Safia works as a seamstress at her home. Along with her main job, she is actively involves in her household works. Her husband operates a pesticide selling business. He mainly sells his products to the farmers, who buy pesticides from him for their lands. He has been running his business for many years.
Safia is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. He will use the loan in buying pesticides in bulk quantity to be able to fulfill the larger orders of his customers and increase his profits. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
