Adham is a 21-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents. In order to return with more income to the family, he decided to open his own business, which consists in selling a wide range of sweets. He has a good number of customers passing by his shop and he is well known by his tasty goods. Today, he is asking to borrow $1500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l, to purchase additional sweets and pastries to sell. In the future, he plans to further expand his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
