Samira is a 58-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and three children. In 2007, she decided to open her own home appliances shop. Today, she’s asking to borrow $2,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional products so she can boost her productivity and her income. In the future, she plans to search for new and high-tech products in order to please more of her customers.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
