Edmond is a 21-year-old Lebanese single man. He lives with his one parent and brother. He is working very hard to earn a living despite all the difficulties he faces. In 2010, Edmond opened his own amusement shop and is looking forward to enlarging the shop. Today, he needs to borrow $2,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase new games and supplies for his business. He notes that this loan will motivate children and adults to come and spend time at the shop. In the future, he plans to enlarge his shop and install new and bigger games.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
