Bilal is a 33-year-old Lebanese single man living with his one parent and seven siblings. Two of his siblings are still attending school and three others are working. In cooperation with his siblings, Bilal is responsible for paying his siblings' educational fees in addition to all other family expenses. He has been working in wall foliage for the past five years and is waiting for the perfect time to grow in this field. Today, he’s looking to borrow $1000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase new equipment for his business. In the future, he plans to open his own wall foliage shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
