Mary is a farmer and the mother of 3 children, with the last two being of school-going age. She has been in active farming for 20 years. Her farm produces maize, vegetables, passion fruit and tomatoes.
Mary has requested Juhudi Kilimo to advance her a loan of 52,000 KES to enable her to buy and insure a dairy cow. She says the cow will help her in feeding and educating her children. She adds Juhudi Kilimo has uplifted farmers' living standards with the farming loans.
Mary is, however, worried about the high costs of animal feeds.
