Angel is 55 years old, he is married with grown-up children, and they live in the town of Caacupé.
He runs a small store that is his source of income and his way to help his family. He says that every year on December 8 thousands of Paraguayans gather together in the town of Caacupé to celebrate the day of the Paraguayan Virgin, that is the Virgin of Caacupé. It is during these days that he sells the most, therefore earning a good income.
He is requesting a loan to buy pottery products, such as statues of the Virgin and of other kinds in order to stock up his shop, as in those days this is what he sells the most and what makes him earn more money. He is grateful to the Fundación for the opportunity he has been given.
