Virgen del Rosario is the name of the communal bank in the city of Villa Ygatimí. All of the members are very hard-working and very enterprising fighters. Their main dream is to progress and get ahead by means of working together. The goal of all of them is to be able to improve their earnings and in that way help their children and family members.

One of them is Carmen, who works raising animals. She says her job is tiring and exhausting, but in spite of this she likes what she does. This is how she supports her family and covers her daily expenses. This is why she would like to continue investing in it.

For this reason she is requesting the loan to buy small animals that she will raise and sell.

She is grateful to the Fundación and to Kiva for the opportunity the loan is giving her.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
