Raghida is a 31-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and two children, who are still attending school. She has been working in producing homemade food for the past seven years. She works upon customer’s demands. As for the heavy costs of life, Raghida joins forces with her husband in order to cover at least the mandatory expenses.
Today, Raghida is asking to borrow $800 from Kiva partner, Ameen s.a.l, to pay her children’s educationA. school fees. In the future, she plans to open her own restaurant and hopes to be able to generate good profits in order to better support her family.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
