Jihad is a 38-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three children; two of them are still attending school. He is the main income source of the family. He has owned a computer shop since 2009 in which he sells computer games, computers, and related accessories. Today, he’s requesting to borrow $1500 from kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase additional computers to satisfy his customer’s demands. In that way, he will be able to increase his business sales and therefore his income. In the future, he plans to expand his business and start networking work.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
