Matilde
Matilde is 47 years old and lives with her three children in the city of Carapeguá. She makes and sells arts and crafts.

She makes hammocks, blankets, bedspreads, etc. and sells her products out of her home to other mobile salespeople in her zone. She says that she has a good number of customers because her products are of good quality and very profitable for buying and selling.

She learned this art from her mother who used to be an artisan. Her father was a farmer. It was her mother who encouraged her to make and sell her crafts so that she could grow as a person and as a professional, and at the same time help her family financially.

She is asking for this loan in order to buy thread and dyes so she can make her crafts. She is very happy about the support from Kiva because what they do is very helpful.
