Xuraman is 56 years old and is married with three children. For the past ten years, she has bred sheep and cows. She sells her sheep for meat and breeds cows to sell milk and yogurt. These products are very popular among local people who use them in everyday cuisine.
Xuraman is requesting a loan to expand her business and purchase six sheep and one milk cow.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
