David is a farmer from Tskaltubo District, West Georgia. He is unmarried and lives with his family including his elder brother Avtandil, his sister in law, his nephew, the wife of the nephew and their four-year-old daughter.
The main source of the income for the family is two greenhouses owned by the family. The greenhouses are busy during the whole year. In the period of October – May, it is used for greens growing and in summer months, it is used for cucumber and tomato growing. David and Avtandil sell harvested greens to the wholesaler exporters locally, as tomatoes and cucumbers are sold by David at the local open market.
David requested credit to purchase fertilizers for the greenhouse. After fertilizing the land, he can count on more and better harvest during the coming year. It will positively influence the income of the family. David and Avtandil will use the received profit for purchasing additional household goods, in order to improve the living conditions of the family.
