Rogelio is a 51-year-old married man with five children. He is residing at Militar, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur, Philippines.
Rogelio operates a business venture in the agriculture sector, planting and harvesting mangoes for sale to earn a living. He has been six years in this business. Each month, he earns 10,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) doing this type of business.
He requested a loan of 35,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase fertilizer such as manure. Rogelio has been a member of GDMPC for almost a year. In the future, Rogelio wants to make improvements to his house and for his children to finish their studies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
