Chanthorn, 32, is married and resides with her husband and four children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-angkorean sites. Chanthorn is a housewife, and her husband operates his motorbike with a trailer attached to provide transportation services. This couple works so hard every day for income to help cover the family expenses.
Chanthorn is requesting a loan of USD 850 to purchase a new motorbike for her husband to operate the business more efficiently. By doing so, her family is able to generate more income. In the future, she would like to use any additional income to repair her house. This will be her third loan from KREDIT, a longstanding Kiva partner.
KREDIT Ltd. is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services. Beyond loans, KREDIT offers low-income clients complementary training in debt management, savings and budgeting.
