Sra. Narcisa is a member of the Communal Bank “Sentimientos” (Feelings). She lives in the neighborhood of Miraflores in the city of Cuenca, which is surrounded by four rivers. It is the third largest city in Ecuador. The people have maintained the culture and traditions of their ancestors. Cuenca is a city full of friendly people who possess very warm hearts.


Sra. Narcisa is 45 years old and a single mother with six children (ages 25, 23, 20, 18, 16, and 12). Her oldest daughter is married and lives independently. Two of her children work in order to cover their personal expenses. Her three youngest children attend a high school in the city. They do not own a home, so they live in a rental property.


Doña Narcisa has been selling all types of clothing for 20 years. She only works three days a week and does not have a set schedule. On the other days, she takes care of her children and her home.


This is her second loan with the Communal Bank. She will invest the money in the purchase of blouses, shirts, trousers, and children’s clothing so that she can restock with more merchandise. Her goal is to have a shop where she can sell fast food.

La Señora Narcisa es socia del banco comunal Sentimientos, vive por el sector de Miraflores en la ciudad de Cuenca, esta ciudad se encuentra bañada por 4 ríos, es la tercera ciudad más importante del País, su gente mantienen la cultura y tradiciones de sus pueblos, es una ciudad de gente amable y de un corazón muy cálido.

La Señora. Narcisa tiene 45 años, es madre soltera y ha concebido 6 hijos de 25, 23, 20, 18, 16 y 12 años de edad, su primera hija es casada e independiente, dos de sus hijos trabajan para sus gastos personales y sus tres últimos hijos estudian en un colegio de la ciudad. No tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.

Doña Narcisa se dedica al comercio de todo tipo de ropa, actividad que realiza hace 20 años, trabaja solo tres días a la semana y sin un horario fijo, los demás días se dedica al cuidado de sus hijos y al hogar.

Este es su segundo crédito que realiza en el banco comunal y lo va a invertir para comprar blusas, camisetas, pantalones y ropa de niños para surtir su mercadería.

Su meta es tener un local para vender comida rápida.
