The group GBENONKPO (Tori Bossito) is comprised of eighteen persons who belong to the same work group. The group's representative, by the name of Josiane, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 44 years old and a widow. She has three children, all in school. Two of the children are in her care.

Josiane did not go to school. For 26 years, she has sold cloth which enables her to cover her diverse expenses and those of her children. She gets her supplies in a city in Benin and resells the goods at a transit station in Benin.

This is the second time that Josiane and the other members of the group GBENONKPO (Tori Bossito) have requested a loan from ALIDé. This loan will allow them to bolster their business in order to respond better to the demands of their customers. The first loan was indeed repaid.

Le groupement GBENONKPO (Tori Bossito) est formé de dix-huit personnes qui appartiennent à un même groupe de travail. La représentante de ce groupe, nommée Josiane est celle dont la main est levée sur la photo. Josiane est âgée de 44 ans, et est une veuve. Josiane a trois enfants, tous scolarisés dont deux à sa charge. Josiane n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Depuis vingt six ans, Josiane vend des tissus ; ce qui lui permet d’assurer ses diverses charges et ceux de ses enfants. Josiane achète ses produits dans une ville du Bénin et les revend à une gare du Bénin. C’est la deuxième fois que Josiane et les autres membres du groupement GBENONKPO (Tori Bossito) sollicitent un crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce crédit leur permettra de renforcer leur activité afin de mieux répondre à la demande de leur clientèle. Le premier crédit a été bien remboursé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
