Jean is a 49-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and one child. He has owned a small garage in his town since 1985, where he provides car painting services. His wife has worked in a local pharmacy since 1990 in order to augment the family’s income. Today, he is asking to borrow $2000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l., to buy painting products and materials so that he can better serve his customers. In the future, he plans to open a bigger garage.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
