Dashqin`s monthly profit is about 250 AZN. He would like to expand his business and purchase two more cows. Milk and yoghurt is popular in Azerbaijan and in high demand among local customers.
To cover market demands, Dashqin applied for a 1500 AZN loan.
AqroInvest CU has been a fundamental part of his business, having provided loans to purchase a cow. This will be his second loan.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
