Anecita is single. She is 48 years of age. She is from the village of Kapalaran, Tambulig Zamboanga del Sur.
Anecita is engaged in planting and harvesting rice to sell to earn a living. She has been in this business for five years and she has a return per cropping of PHP 15,000. She is requesting a loan of PHP 20,000 to purchase fertilizers and seedlings for the next cropping. Her rice field is ready for planting.
She became a member of GDMPC this year only to gain financial access for her rice production. Anecita plans to expand her rice field to save money for her old age. She doesn't have family. Her earnings are for her food and other basic needs. She helps her neighborhood. She compensates those people who helped her during harvest.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
