A loan of $800 helped to purchase two heifers.

Roberto Antonio's story

Roberto is 34 years old and a resident of the community of El Rodeo, which is located in Pueblo Nuevo in the town of Estelí. He is a farmer who is married and the father of three children. Roberto only has a basic education since he finished elementary school through the fourth grade. He began learning to farm at an early age from his father. Over time, he used his earnings from selling vegetables to buy his own land. Roberto currently grow vegetables and raises cattle.

He is requesting a loan to buy two heifers because he believes this purchase will improve his milk sales. There is great demand this season, so he does not want to lose this opportunity to produce and sell milk. Roberto is saving for his children’s education so that they can become professionals and move forward. Therefore, this has become a high priority. He enjoys home repair projects, making improvements to his farm, and expanding the land on which he grows his crops.
