Ibrahim is a 44-year-old married Lebanese man who lives with his wife and three children. His children are still attending school. He is the main income provider of the family. Ibrahim is doing his best to satisfy his family's needs. He has been working as a glazier for the past 21 years and opened his own shop three years ago. Today, he’s requesting to borrow 1,200 USD from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new glass supplies and mirrors. He really believes that this Kiva loan will increase his productivity by a large percentage. In the future, he plans to enlarge his business operation.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
