Sarkis is a 46-year-old married man living with his wife and two school-aged children. He is the only income source for his family and he works hard to enhance his family's lifestyle.
He has 15 years experience working in printing designs on textiles. And in 2009, he was able to open his own shop. Today, he’s requesting to borrow $2,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase more products needed for his printing work. In the future, he plans to broaden his business operations and include more designs.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
