Sanaa is a 49-year-old, Lebanese divorced woman living with her two children who are studying at the university and working at the same time. In 2003, Sanaa started to work as a private teacher receiving students at her home. She works, at the same time, in a local school to be able to afford the heavy expenses. Today, she’s looking to borrow 2,000 USD from Kiva Partner Ameen s.a.l. to supply the teaching room with the needed equipment such as teaching tools and board, in addition to a heater so that the students can study properly and comfortably.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
