The group leader of this small group is Hanifa B.. She is currently in the business of cold drinks and is requesting a loan to buy a fridge. Hanifa is 41 years old and is single. She has 6 children, ranging from age 16 to 4, and her children go to school. Each week, Hanifa makes approximately UGX 70000 in profits, and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to save for her children’s education. Hanifa has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 500000 in order to invest in her business, and the loan was paid back on time.

Hania is joined in her small group by Zulaika N., Madina N., Imcya I., and Mbabazi E.. Zulaika N. has a business in selling saucepans and wants to invest in business. Madina N. is currently operating a beauty salon business and wants a loan to buy a dryer. Imcya I. operates a business of selling snacks and wants to expand the business. Mbabazi E. is currently in the beauty salon business and is requesting a loan to buy more hair oils, braids and weaves.
