Juan Carolos is 29 years old and lives in the municipality of San Juan Nepomuceno, located in the department of Bolívar, He has a business there selling food and drinks. Most of his customers are housewives and their families living in and around his neighborhood.

At the present time, his client base has grown and his facility is not large enough to offer superior service and he needs to stock up and display more merchandise, and this is the reason he is asking for a loan through Kiva, with which he will update the premises and buy merchandise, and provision it for the busy end of the year season when sales go up.

When be began his life as a merchant, he sold Yupi snacks (snacks made by a Colombian company), distributing them in all the town businesses, likewise in the city of Cartagena, where he later worked in a warehouse and finally three years ago, with his savings from all his jobs, he invested in his dream of being independent and opened his store. This has paid the household expenses especially for his parents and for his personal expenses.

His dream is to grow his store and every day he does not stop thinking about how to achieve this through continuous and persistent work.
