Fady is a 39-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and six children. Some of his children are still attending school. Despite his situation, Fady represents the main income source of the family. He has been working in the construction field for the past 16 years and he is talented at finalizing woodwork tasks. Today, he’s looking to borrow $2,000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase wood for his work, which will make his business operation much easier to accomplish. In the future, he plans to expand his work and have his own business and employees.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
