Kalikwa is a married woman with two school going children. Her husband is a businessman who contributes to the family's basic needs. She owns a house with electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for her family.
Kalikwa has operated a cosmetics shop for the past 5 years. Her potential clients are her neighbors. She faces a major challenge of customers not paying their debts in time. She dreams of expanding her business.
With the Kshs 40,000 Kalikwa wants to purchase body creams, hair relaxer and hair extensions for her shop. She decided to join Yehu Microfinance to access funds to expand her business.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
