Salome, 52, was born in Chuquisaca. She has three adult children. She and her husband are farmers in Villa San Carlos 25 kilometers from Limoncito where they have their parcel where they live and work. They grow corn, cassava and watermelon.

This is the first loan she’s taken out with the institution and she’s grateful for the support the institution is giving her because she’ll use the loan to buy seeds to plant corn and also for everything implied in getting the soil ready for planting. She will then sell her products in the local market directly from producer to consumer thus improving her income and her quality of life.
