Meet 46-year-old Aminata from Kissy in eastern area in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She is married with four children between the ages of 10 years and 27 years. In 2006, Aminata established her general merchandise business. She began her business because she wanted to enhance her independence and to assist her husband in covering the household expenses. She also earns income from hair dressing. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation.
Aminata requires a loan in order to buy more soft drinks and Star beers. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her educate her children. In the future, Aminata plans to own another shop. She thanks you for your support.
