Mostafa is a 28-year-old single Lebanese man living with one parent and a sibling. Despite his young age, he chose to work as a painter four years ago in order to cover his family’s expenses. Today, he is a freelance painter. He’s asking to borrow 1,100 USD from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new tools to properly do his job. In the future, he plans to enlarge his business by taking more Kiva loans and therefore be able to save enough money to get married.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
