Kakha is a 37-year-old farmer from the village of Karaleti in the Kartli region of East Georgia. He is married and lives with his family, which includes his wife, Shorena, two daughters (17 and 10 years old), and his mother-in-law. Both of the children go to school.
All of the adult family members are involved in the family's farming activities, which are the primary source of income for them. In particular, the family owns a dairy cow and sells on average 20 kilograms of cheese per month. In addition, they grow garlic, cabbage, and tomatoes on their family-owned one hectare of land. The total average income of the family is 800 laris (about 480 USD) per month.
Kakha requested a loan to purchase seeds for garlic. He will purchase quality seeds and count on a good harvest in the summer. After selling the harvest, he will get income, which will be used for the well-being of the family.
